Brief Answer:
don't take more dextromethrophan...

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

coping with cough during or after a respiratory tract infection can be challenging. Most of the times the cough suppressants provide minimal relief. Only opioid drugs have a good effect on cough. Such drugs usually require doctor's prescription because of the opioid.

Do not take more of the combination (celexa and dextromethorphane) because you will get into risk for a very serious (but rare thankfully) complication. I would suggest any drug that contains opioids instead. I can't suggest any specific brand, you should ask your pharmacist for availability.

Common cough suppressants like butamirate are not very effective. You can try though if you can't find more potent drugs.

I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!

Brief Answer:
you're welcome

Detailed Answer:
You're welcome!

You have to read the directions always!
And of course if you do develop any symptoms you should tell your doctor. I don't think you will, just in case...

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
