Question: I am currently taking Lexapro 15 mg qd for chronic depression, Ativan 1mg tid for anxiety/panic attacks, and Tramadol 50mg for pain related to osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. Today my gynecologist prescribed Brisdelle for severe hot flashes. After reading the pamphlet he gave me, I am concerned about probable drug interactions. What is your opinion? Thank you

Brief Answer:
Yes there are interaction but fortunately not severe

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Although you are right with your concern but the interaction is almost nil with current dosage. Only thing you need to do is to remain alert for first 48 hours and if you feel there is nervousness, agitation, rigidity or muscle twitching you need to report to your doctor.

To conclude I must assure you that the possibility of interaction is very low and a high alertness is enough to detect any problem.

I hope this answers you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.
