Does BP Medication That Melts In The Mouth Loose Its Effectiveness?

Question: I was taking my pills this morning and my blood pressure pill started melting in my mouth before I could swallow it. I drank the whole bottle of water that I was taking the pills with. Is the pill still effective being it melted before I could swallow it?
