Question: Doctor, just one very last important question. (Due to horrific pain). Had botox inj. a few weeks ago with no relief this time. My neurologist suggested trying steroid trigger point injections into the face. Would these steroid shots and/or the more mild homeopathic trameel injections offer any relief from the aching and burning in the teeth and gums area since they only inject into the face, not the gums. Thank u so much for your answer.

Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again and thanks for your questions.

I have read your new question.

If the pain is located at any facial area, facial steroid injections into the trigger points should improve the pain.

If there is a pain in the gums that radiates on the face, I think injecting the gums should be considered.

In conclusion, careful examination is necessary for the origin and location of the pain, before deciding the points to inject.

I hope this helps.

Feel free to ask if you have further questions.

As u know, the pain in the gums and teeth is originated in the trigeminal nerve, making the teeth and gums ache and burn. I cannot find anyone who will inject either botox or steroids into the gums, only the face. If done in the facial area, will this reach and be able to calm trigeminal nerve?

Brief Answer:
Gasserian (Trigeminal) Ganglion Block should also considered.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

Since you cannot find a Doctor that is confident with gums injections, you should try the facial trigger points injections.

It is possible for these facial trigger point injections to improve your pain.

You can also discuss with your Doctor about Gasserian (Trigeminal) Ganglion Block for your pain.

Hope this helps.

Take care.
