Doctor Appointment Scheduled For December 6th For A Urologist .

Question: Doctor appointment scheduled for December 6th for a urologist.

My right testicle is hanging lower than my left by 1.5 inches. They are normally the same length.

I have pain in my pelvis and testicle region (i went to urologist last December with this pain to get a battery of test and they all were clean. Prostatis was suspected. It eventually cleared)

The size of the testicles remain the same. Shape remains the same and no lumps or unusual feel. I checked and my girlfriend too. This began 2 days ago.

What could cause one testicle to drop lower than the other? What tests should i ask the urologist to run?

FYI - relatively healthy. Recently had strep throat and viral infection took amoxicillin. No other health issues in 2019

Brief Answer:
I suggest an ultrasound

Detailed Answer:
Hi Darahnw1987,

Your question sounds like one I answered a short while ago. A testicle that suddenly drops is not of particular concern in itself. The pain however should be investigated further. Typically, testicular pain is caused by infection, ischemia or a hernia, all of which can be diagnosed with a urinalysis and ultrasound of the testicles.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have further questions.
