Question: Hi Dr. Kanodia
I dont know if you remember me.
I did so many tests so far as you know ( if you remember)

Hello Dr.

I hope this email finds you well

I had sex with two prostitute one on the 25 august and the other is on the 10th of september. both were oral sucking then vaginal with condom ( unfortunately didnt check the integrity of the condoms afterword but I think on broke but from up not close to the head of the peinus) I had numbness and tingling of upper and lower limbs, sore throat I feel the glands beneath the mandibular jaw.

What I want to tell you is that I am in the medical field(Dentist) and I have some info regarding STDs Since I talk some classes in immunology in the united states, which makes me worry.

As you know Doctor that P24 should be detectable 10-14 days after exposure.

And HIV1 RT RNA PCR would detect the viral load 7-11 days after exposure.

Abs would take longer.

to remind 1st exposure was on the 25th august, 2nd on the 10th september

and the tests that I already did are:

1- 16th of Sep.: HIV COMBO test and all other blood tests(full med. check up) but I think its too early for the second exposure(6 days) but fair for the first(22 days)

2- 18th of Sep.: HIV COMBO and HIV-1 RT PCR RNA test. (8days after 2nd exposure and 24 days after first exposure)

3- 21st of Sep.: 3rd Generation HIV test. (I dont think that it is beneficial at this time)

4- 22nd of Sep.: 4th generation HIV test. (28 days from first exposure and 12 days from second exposure.

5- 28th of Sep. : 4th generation HIV test. ( 34 days from first exposure and 18 days from the second exposure)

If we are dealing with numbers, and since P24 should be detectable 10-14 days after infection.

DO you think that these tests are conclusive for me. and no further tests are required?

Pleas be patient with me

the updates
I did an HIV combo test today (23 days after the exposure) and thanks God it came negative.

Can it be conclusive? Since I am planing to get married.

Thank you
doctor

Brief Answer:
Tests are quite encouraging.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back and thanks for posting your further concern to our forum.

I am quite fine with all your blessings and reciprocate good health wishes to you.

I have diligently analyzed your complete query and noted your concern.

After thoroughly interpreting each point let me reassure you hat your test results are very encouraging and indicates towards negative status. Though I can't call it as convulsive because of the various tie periods given for every test but even then these are very much favorable.

In your case both the incidences are not in direct contact with vaginal so the possibility of HIV is negligible. A most conclusive test could be done only after 3 months from the last exposure. So I suggest you to not to get indulged in any such risky activities and get yourself tested by 4th generation test 3 months after last exposure.

In my clinical experience it should come negative. So allay all your fears for Hiv and relax.

I hope this helps.

With good health wishes,
