Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to Health Care Magic, Thanks for writing to us,

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad, I have read your question, I understand your concern and will try to help you in the best possible way.

Our body has been designed real smartly and rather perfectly, when it gets some insult by a disease process it tends to repair it self.

Some parts of the body can repair their damaged portion and in some, the intact portion over compensates the damaged one.

For example if one kidney is destroyed it may not repair itself but the other kidney will grow bigger in size to take almost all the load of the destroyed kidney.

Same is the case with lungs, You got pneumonia and they must have been some destruction at that part of lung where pneumonia did a full blown attack.

Now when your pulmonologist says your lungs are repairing themselves it means that your pneumonia is under control , plus the damaged part of lungs is repairing itself,

And the part which can not be repaired itself is getting compensated by healthy parts of your lungs.

So i believe it's a good news, just keep the life style modifications and regular medication going and everything is expected to get better in future.

Stay blessed.
