Question: In the recent several months I have instances where i fall without warning. The last couple of times (twice in the past week) I had no dizziness before falling. Could this be due to a heart issue?

Brief Answer:
Read below.

Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

The answer to your question on whether heart issues can be responsible is yes. Heart arrhythmia is one possible cause of calls due to it causing low blood pressure. So heart rhythm monitoring is necessary first through a simple EKG and then through 24 hour Holter EKG which registers your heart rhythm during the 24 hours.

Other causes to be considered are anemia, blood glucose or electrolyte abnormalities which can be verified through blood tests.

If nothing shows up then neurological causes must be sought such as narrowed neck blood vessels leading to insufficient blood supply to the brain or a parkinsonian syndrome such as multiple system atrophy.
