Question: Dear Doctor, My Blood pressure was measured at home several months ago, and the pressure was about 138. After that, I went to the clinic to measure more than 150, and I began to suspect that I had high blood pressure symptoms. So I went to the hospital for a physical examination, including heart electrocardiogram and ultrasound, and kidney ultrasound. The data showed that the good cholesterol was unqualified and the rest were normal. The doctor said it may be a psychological problem affecting blood pressure. Later, when I measure my blood pressure, I will be particularly nervous. I will go to 170 when I have time. Looking back on this year's work economy, I feel that I am more anxious and nervous, so I went to see a psychiatrist. After learning by the doctor, I said that I may have a wide range of anxiety disorders that caused high blood pressure and gave me some medicine. Now after taking these drugs, the blood pressure is measured in the morning about 150 or so. After breakfast, eat half a sedative, and after 15 minutes, measure again to 134 down 80 heartbeat 68 would like to ask 1. My blood pressure is still 134 after taking a sedative. Do you need to take a blood pressure lowering medicine? 2. Does anxiety disorder really increase blood pressure so high? Why?

Detailed Answer:
Hello

After going through the medical details I would like to tell you that YES anxiety is a very important and common cause of increase blood pressure also when you are visiting a doctor or a hospital your bp is going up which is also very common scenario in many individuals due to increase in there stress levels.

As of now I would suggest you to take help from a psychologist to combat your anxiety as once that’s controlled your bp will automatically be alright.

Rest follow healthy lifestyle routine and take low salt diet.

Kind Regards

Hello again

Detailed Answer:
The problem with these anti anxiety meds is that they are habit forming and the individual gets dependent on these drugs.

So not advisable.
