Question: Dear Doctor,
I went to the massage parlor, about 3 weeks back. During the normal course of the massage, I and the massage lady were having a conversation. Just then, out of XXXXXXX she licked my nipple. This happened for 1-2 sec XXXXXXX I told her to stop immediately and rushed to wash the licked area with soap and water. I'm terrified with this incident. If she is HIV+, is there any chance that I'm at risk of Hiv? She did not bite it as far as I can remember. It was just a lick.
Few days back i went for a regular blood test, not Hiv and the Eosinophils count was 440 cells per mm3 or 7% which was marked in bold. Is it due to Hiv infection? Am I seroconverting?

There is no risk of HIV through this incident. HIV is only transmitted through unprotected sex e.g eithe oral, genital or anal sex wherein there is genital contact with infected genital surface or secretions of the HIVpositive partner. Saliva is not infectious and moreover HIV is not transmitted through intact skin. Raised eosinophil count could be due to some allergy or parasite infection. It is not a sign of HIV.
