Dear Doctor. I Have Been Suffering From Anxiety And Depression

Question: Dear Doctor. I have been suffering from Anxiety and Depression since childhood. My problem is that I eat anything the food is properly not digested and I get headache. This is happening since a decade. So everytime after taking food I have been taking Rantack tablet 2 to 3 tabs or Zandu pancharishta to overcome indigestion problem. Can you suggestion any good medicines doctor for permanent solution of stomach disorders. Gas also forms Doctor and now a days let us say since last 2 months I developed constipation also. Otherwise regularly I used to get free motion by waking up. Since childhood my stomach is very sensitive. In the childhood, I used to take anyfood, i used to suffering from motions. So kindly concentrate on the present problem advise any suitable medicines and duration please.

I went through this question and all other previous questions you put forward through this platform.

You have stress, anxiety and depression from childhood.
You have indigestion, acidity and motion related issues from childhood.
You were taking some medicines for anxiety and depression.
You mentioned something about social phobia where you were unable to face others.
Today you also mention about constipation issues.

Almost every doctors answered your question with a common diagnosis of depression. Every symptom you are providing here could be related to depression and further Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). So I request you not to knock all doors for treatment. Instead go for a comprehensive treatment plan which include depression and anxiety medicines and cognitive behavior therapy.

You must know or understand - frequent stress, anxiety or depression create frequent digestion issues. There is no use addressing the digestion problems. Instead you should treat the underlying anxiety and depression conditions.

To start with CBT I suggest the following preliminary steps:
1. Physical exercise for 45 minutes daily.
2. Mindfulness meditation daily for 15 minutes.
3. Slow breathing exercises

Do these three for a week and then if you contact me with all the details, I will provide further CBT steps. Please start writing all the details on a diary. Include as many details as possible. Take your time. Take screenshots of each page and send those to me. I decide on further treatment after reading those details. In the meantime, I also would suggest you to consult a psychiatrist (whom you are going to stick with) and get continuous treatment for your depression and anxiety. Take care
