Question: Currently on day 4 treatment for non complicated diverticulitus with antibiotics.

Had a CBC done and I concerned about my NRBCs test showing 1.5/100 WBC.

I am reading horribke things on google is the tesult really bad?

I have attached copis of the CBC

You are absolutely fine. For uncomplicated diverticulitis, not even antibiotics are necessary. Painkillers, laxatives and plenty of fluids will do the trick. Your blood tests are also absolutely fine and no cause for concern. If you have never had a colonoscopy, I suggest you have one in 4-8 weeks time.

Hi again Bassemj2014,

the nucleated RBC level is typically zero. However, it has nothing to do with your diverticulitis. I suggest - in terms of the RBC level - that you have it checked again at your own doctors in a few weeks time. If it is still elevated, you should probably have a peripheral blood film analyzed by hematologists.
