Hi XXXXXX
Thanks for writing in.
The hCG diet doesnt work and its not safe. This diet is actually a fad diet with severe calorie restriction. Years of experience with fad diets have shown that these diets produce only temporary weight loss and people end up gaining more weight than they lost. Also, its bad for your bones and your body as such and there is no reason as such that you should be subjecting your body to such a stress. Other adverse effects include gallstones, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, problems with the rhythm of the heart and an electrolyte issues.
There are much better ways to lose weight. The following things would definitely help:
a. Start your day with 1 fruit
b. Within 1 hour of waking up, you should be having your breakfast. This could be wheatflakes with milk; oats/muesli with milk; 2 pieces of whole wheat bread with 2 egg whites.
c. Within the next 2-3 hours, you should be on the 3rd meal which could b a salad ( no dressing or sauces please)
d. Lunch should be a sandwich or anything you may like. Prefer a grilled/steamed/baked option
e. At around 5, have a cup of soup
f. At around 7, you are good for dinner. Steamed fish/chicken with a piece of bread should be ok.
This is only to give you a rough idea on how to plan your diet. Getting your diet right is 80% of the job done.
Exercise can be simply 10 minutes of brisk walking whenever and wherever you have the time. Take the stairs; walk to the grocery; walk after lunch or dinner. 10 minutes 3-4 times a day and we are good as far as this is concerned.
This plan would help you lose about 5-6 pounds in 2-3 weeks. But its important to make a plan that you can stick with in the long run.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Regards
