Question: My 2 year old has normal temp in the day but for 2ndnight in a row is having a fever of over 103.5. She refuses to take any medicine. She complains of being cold. any thoughts?

Probably your kid has a viral fever. Let me know if she gets other symptoms.

If the fever stays for a while, then more investigations will need to be done.

Till then you can give supportive treatment. My suggestions are as follows:
Do tepid slinging and do give her acetaminophen as prescribed by your doctor. Mix it with honey or juice to make it palatable.
Give her plenty of liquids to help her body tide over febrile illness.
