Detailed Answer:

Hello,

CT scans do not show small ovarian tumors well, but they can see larger tumors and may be able to see if the tumor is growing into nearby structures. A CT scan may also find enlarged lymph nodes, signs of cancer spread to the liver or other organs, or signs that an ovarian tumor is affecting your kidneys or bladder.

CT scans are rarely used to diagnose uterine cancer, but they may be helpful in seeing if cancer has spread to other organs. CT-guided needle biopsy: CT scans can also be used to guide a biopsy needle precisely into a suspected tumor.

However, sometimes Pap tests show signs of abnormal cells in the lining of the uterus (endometrium), which can be used to identify the potential presence of endometrial cancer. For this reason, following an abnormal Pap smear, a sample of endometrial tissue must be removed and examined for cancer cells.

I hope this answers your query.
