Can We Try For Baby Inspite Of Having Cold Symptoms?

Question: Hello Doctor. I am 29 year old female. we are trying for a baby, My is under Medication for gastric problem. Taking ganaton & Diet husk powder daily.He is having slight cold also(general) .Can we try for baby now? Do we need avoid the try if any one of us not keeping well (say Cold,fever…. )

Cold can be contagious and he can pass it on to you. Otherwise it is not a reason to not try for a baby. It will not affect the baby.

There should be no issue about medicine intake by male partner. It is more of an issue for female partner because she will carry the baby and the medicine can cross through placenta to the baby.

Thank you doctor. As i mentioned in my first question I had urinary infection & was adviced by the doctor to wash the private area before & after the intercourse. Will this affect the chance of getting pregnancy?

Washing the area after intercourse does not affect the chance of getting pregnant. Since the sperms that enter the cervix and uterus do not come out right after intercourse.
