Urinary tract infections can become severe. In this type of case it can definitely cause significant body weakness. A patient can develop significant fevers and sometimes mental status changes if urinary tract infections become severe.

usually a doctor will prescribe some type of antibiotic to eliminate the infection. The symptoms of weakness or fatigue may slowly clear as the infection gets better. We would also recommend that the patient maintains good hydration and nutrition through the course of the illness.
