I consider my self healthy . I started to take magnesium and vitamin B supplenet but that didnt help . What the cause of the eyes twitching and prickles is very painful and uncomfortable. Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

I must say that in principle I do agree with the eye specialis, the cause for twitching of the eyelids is usually stress related. Other possible contributors are lack of sleep, tiredness, use of caffeine and alcohol. Dry eyes may contribute as well especially in people who stand a lot in front of a computer screen.

Which specialist should you see for peace of mind....since you have ruled out eye issues with eye specialist you can see a neurologist. It would be the most appropriate specialist to check for presence of movement disorders such as blefarospasms, issues with eye movement which could indicate eye nerve or muscle involvement. As I said if all you have is the twitching probably nothing will turn out but to make sure a neurological consult may be done.

As for the remedy, relaxation exercises and lifestyle changes are what is recommended when they are seen as the cause. Rarely when really bothering Botox injections may be considered.

I hope to have been of help.
