Can Smoking Cause Nausea And Stomach Ulcers?

Question: Can smoking create nausea? Stomach ulcers? I've been smoking for 40 yrs, The nausea is a relatively new concern.

Smoking is a Risk factor for cancer of the stomach. stomach cancer could initially manifest itself as stomach ulcers.

Smoking generally is a Risk factor for many tumours. As a direct cause of nausea, no. But could indirectly cause nausea in case it leads to cancer . Most cancers lead to production of chemicals in the body that cause nausea.

I think it's too early to be scared . I suggest a proper clinical examination by your family physician first and targeted blood exams to be done.

Other very common causes of nausea like intestinal infections, liver disease need to checked first.
