Brief Answer:
You may discontinue epitril at 0.25mg

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
As I am an allopathic doctor so I wont be able to comment about the XXXXXXX and ayurvedic preparations. You may take it if they are useful but allopathic medicines should not be discontinued by self. Epitril can be withdrawn at the dose of 0.25mg abruptly. Its a very low dose and doesnt need any further tapering. If you still feeling anxious then probably your anxiety disorder has not been treated well and the same needs to be treated from the root. For that purpose you need to take either paroxetine or escitalopram or miratzapine for 6-8 months regularly. Also there is an option of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). This therapy is taken by either a psychologist or a psychiatrist in which the therapist identifies impaired cognitions (Thoughts) and try to correct them. They are 15-20 min weekly session and there should be around 8-10 sessions to help you with your illness.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for me, so that I get a good feedback.

Brief Answer:
Medicines need to be tried

Detailed Answer:
Hello
The medicines that I have stated above i.e. paroxetine, mirtazapine, escitalopram are all good drugs and they can be tried. Even if some old drugs have not suited you it doesn't mean that other drugs are not going to suit you.
Regarding the periods questions, its very natural with hormonal changes happening around periods, mood swings are very common. If it is very severe then it could be a premenstyrual dysphoria and then it will require you to take fluoxetine.

Kind regards
Dr. Srikanth Reddy
