Can One Undergo C-section During 37 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

Question: Hello Doctor , This is xxxxxxxx . My Wife is 37 Weeks Preganant.
Is that advice to do C-section at 37 Weeks ?... Please provide your advise

If other parameters like placental maturity, fetal biophysical profile, maternal condition are normal, you can go ahead with the surgery. If your consultant feels there is no scope for a trial vaginal delivery, this is the only way out. There should not be any problem by advancing the date as the fetal lung maturity would be complete in ordinary condition.

Thanks for your Note,

However due to baby Wait and amniotic fluid bag contain huge water they advised us for C-Section and Doctor suggested and planned cesarean section for July 6(38 Weeks).However we requested doctor to do cesarean @ June30(37weeks) Since we find that day was auspicious.

One Final question , what is the baby recommended weight to be @ 37 weeks?.

so that it help me to verify in scan report.

Estimated fetal weight depends on factors like fetal measurements, heredity, socioeconomic status and race etc. While according the western standards, a 37 week-old baby is expected to weigh approximately 2.9 kg., in the XXXXXXX conditions, anything above 2.5 kg. can be considered normal. This again, as I mentioned, depends on the socioeconomic condition and heredity.
