Posted on Tue, 21 Nov 2017
Question: while at work on oct 18th, I came in contact with someones blood. I work in a bakery & this guy bled in the sink. he asked me to apply a bandage, so I put gloves on and obliged. I took the gloves off, and washed my hands. I then proceeded to a spray the sinks that he bled in with bleach ( he was washing blood off with water). however I did not use gloves gor this. what I'm wondering is could I of contracted something from him? he had been released from prison 8 years ago.

Brief Answer:
No

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma'am I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but there is no need to worry as you did right by wearing gloves while applying the bandage which means that you did not get in contact with the wound.. Also you did right by using bleach to sterilize the sink which probably contains chlorine which is a powerful sterilizing agent which will again sterilize any remenants of the blood in the sink.. I hope I answered your question..

Brief Answer:
No risk

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma'am, since the cut did not come in contact with any blood.. And since it only came in contact with the sink that you have sterilized with a bleach then there is no risk of getting infected. I hope you find this helpful..
