Can I Take Tart Cherry Extract Capsules Along With Allopurinol?
Question: Hi I take ALLUPURINOL and COLRRYS SOON Ill be takeing just COLCRYS and new medicine ULORIC FOR GOUT I also bought some over the counter TART CHERRY EXTRACT CAPSULES that I XXXXXXX t start takeing yet Will I get any interaction with the TART CHERRY EXTRACT and the medicines mentioned

I have gone through your query.
I want to clear you one point that all studies involving tart cherries have been very small, so we'll have to wait to see whether tart cherries are beneficial and in what quantities.
But what ever the studies come they concluded that tart cherry intake when combined with allopurinol use, the risk of gout attacks decreases by 75%.
But no big study till date has been conducted with interaction between uloric and tart cherry juice.
So at last I would like to say that if you want to take tart cherry juice you can take it with allopurinol and not with uloric. Still tart cherry is research product because not a single major study has proven its interactions till date.
- Apply hot packs for 30 min in morning and evening .
