Question: I am on metroprolo 25mg once a day At 6pm can I take Tylenol pm to get some sleep

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Tylenol PM contains acetaminophen and diphenhydramine, an antihistamine drug.

Diphenhydramine stops degradation and excretion of metoprolol, increasing this way blood metoprolol concentration and possibility for undesirable side effects. (hypotension, dizziness, slow pulse).

You can use occasionally Diazepam 5 mg for sleep, but remember, prolonged use can cause addiction.
