2. When there is a long history of high blood pressure in a person then there is damage to the filtering mechanism in the kidneys. The result is early nephropathy. The earliest signs of kidney disease due to high blood pressure is increased excretion of proteins in urine and this might be treated with medicines and is reversible.

3. If early kidney disease due to high blood pressure is not treated then there is decrease in functioning which is seen as increased serum creatinine level in blood. If left untreated then it becomes late stage renal disease and is not reversible.
