Brief Answer:
Sweating may be normal

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

Sorry for the late reply. I was preoccupied with my other professional obligations.

Excessive sweating may be normal if it is not accompanied by any other symptoms. However it may be seen in following circumstances:
- excessive clothing, not appropriate for weather.
- baby being wrapped in blankets during feeds
- fever for other reasons
- baby not moving while sleeping
- low blood sugar probably due to lesser feeds (less likely cause during feeding)

Remedies that can be taken:
- Take off extra clothes. Babies should be wearing only one layer of clothes in excess of what adults in that room are wearing
- dont wrap baby in blankets during feeds. Baby will go to sleep and wont take the feeds enough
- dont wrap the baby in blankets during sleep also. Baby should be able to move during sleep. Therefore just keep the blankets loosely over him. Dont cover their face/head with blanket or any other cloth during sleep. Babies move a lot during sleep
- Feeds should happen every 2-3 hrs. Milk can follow solid foods.

Otherwise medicines are not indicated for excessive sweating.

Hope it helps.
