Brief Answer:
Please provide more details

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Brain concussion or bleeding depends upon severity of head injury. Superficial bleeding can be present in both minor or severe injury.
Changes of concussion or bleeding is more if associated with severe headache, vomiting, seizure, loss of consciousness, bleeding via ear or nose, weakness of limbs, visual loss or hearing loss.

My only symptom so far is soreness/tenderness at spot where head hit handle on bus. Top of head towards back left. I didn't lose consciousness or have any of the symptoms you mention. But can these symptoms appear afterwards? How many days/weeks do I need to wait in order to be sure I don't have something more serious? The hit seems minor, it was a bump really, but I read on Web how even minor bumps can lead to brain injury. Is this an overreaction?

The bump to head happened earlier today.

Brief Answer:
Visit a doctor and get CT head done

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The mode of injury and presentation doesn't seems to be of serious nature and not require any investigation.
You can consult a doctor and get CT head done.
Late complications of head injury can occur but present with some symptoms too.
Take pain killers for soreness for few days.

I know I CAN get a CT scan but this would require visit to ER. Not something I want to do unless absolutely necessary.

Are you basically saying you don't think investigation is necessary right now? And would only advise visit to doctor and investigation if symptoms appear?

Soreness where bump occurred is normal and nothing to be concerned about?
