Can A Combination On Mirtaz And Ativan Be Taken For Insomnia?

Question: i have issues with sleep. i take lorazepam 4mg(2-0-2) daily, but does not work. if i combine mirtaz 7.5 mg (0-0-1)along with ativan, iam able to get good sleep. should i continue?

I feel the current dose of Ativan is very high and it is likely to cause more harm than benefits for a person in middle age.

There are safer medications available and they should be used before taking benzodiazepines (read Ativan).

In my view it will be appropriate to see a psychiatrist to get detoxification for Ativan and get a prescription for safer medication.
