Brief Answer:
Likely to be pulled muscle

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms

To be able to cause fracture of the rib the mode of injury needs to be severe. Its much more likely to be pulled muscle . Whether its broken rib or pulled muscle the treatment and principle of treatment is the same that is adequate control of pain .
Isolated fracture of rib does not require any special care apart from control of pain.

I would suggest you the following

1. Local application of ice will be helpful

2. Analgesics like Diclofenac or Ibuprofen will provide the much needed relief.

A word of caution is exact diagnosis will however depend on clinical examination .

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance , will be glad to assist you

Take Care
