Brief Answer:
What is making you anxious?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

The problem with treating insomnia is that we should always treat the cause and not knock persons off. You have not slept because of the anxiety. The best solution is to address what is causing you to be anxious so that you can get relaxed and go to sleep. So long as this is not addressed, you would not be able to overcome it and get good sleep and you would not continue taking drugs forever to do so.

The following can help you fall to sleep without drugs: Get a hot water shower, dress light and comfortably, turn low the lights, listen to some slow and cool sound at a very low volume, turn off the TV and try to get less anxious. Should these fail, try xanax for a one tie fix. You run no added risk because of melatonin.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
Keep me updated!

Detailed Answer:
HI and thanks for this follow up information.

I am happy to know you would only take medications when and where they are very necessary. That is a good habit to cultivate and keep alive.

Let me know how the sleep difficulties go. If you would require more help. I am at your disposal.

I wish you well and sound sleep tonight.

Visited my doctor today and was tested positive for UTI. Waiting for culture reaults. I have a feeling the infection are in my kidneys because I dont have any problem urinating but my back is killing me, very naseous, headaches and low temp. So I'm on Cipro, but Istill feel very naseous and weak. Why? I also would like to take .25 of xanax tonight since last night i only slept 2 hrs. Is it okay to do that? Thx

Brief Answer:
Probabyy infection of the kidneys.

Detailed Answer:
HI and sorry to hear about this diagnosis of UTI. With no urinary symptoms, back pain and low grade fever, the chances that this is due to an infection in the kidneys are higher compared to a possible bladder infection.

Treatment often takes some time to kick in. You would feel better but that would require 24-48hours. Did your doctor prescribe something for pain? This would help reduce the intensity of symptoms and fever. Also, drink much water to help with "washing" out the infection through increased urine flow.

Feel free to take the xanax. It would help. I will suggest you choose one of the sleeping aids and stick to rather than switching over each time.

I wish you well and wish you a speedy recovery. Hope this helps.
