Brief Answer:
Yes they can know if testing is done at proper time after intake.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome at HCM
I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns
Which type of xanax you are using? Regular , extended release or disintegrating tablet_?
In response to your query , the peak blood concentration reaches at 1-2 hrs for regular tablet and 7-9 hours for extended release and 1.5 to 2 hrs for disintegrating tablet.
The peak plasma concentration is dose dependent too , mean if you take larger dose , you get higher values. But it also depends upon the time of testing too, since various forms of this drug reaches to peak concentration differently .
To conclude , if you take higher dose than the prescribed one , you end up with higher plasma values . They can definitely know for sure if they check the blood levels at proper time by keeping different forms of xanax available.
Hope your query is adequately addressed , if you still have any feel free to ask.

So if i brake a 2mg bar in half would they no its not my 1 mg prescription
doctor
Answered by Dr. Saad Sultan (17 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
prescription may clearly mention xanax 1mg single tablet or 2mg half table

Detailed Answer:

i do appreciate your followup.
If you break 2mg tablet in two equal halves and use half tablet then there would be no problem . since half tablet corresponds to 1 mg. So if you use half tablet they are not going to know in testing.
But your prescription should clearly mention xanax 1 mg one tablet daily or xanax 2mg half tablet daily. By this it is clearly understandable for everyone. But if prescription mentions only xabax 1 mg and you have one with 2mg , then you have to clearify it that you are using half tablet.
Hope your query is adequately addressed

So i take two 1mg every day and i get a2mg bar and brake it in half they wont know im taking the two mg bar and are all xanax made of the same thing
doctor
Answered by Dr. Saad Sultan (14 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
using half tablet of 2 mg is appropriate in this setting

Detailed Answer:
Welcome at HCM
i really appreciate your followup.
Since your prescribed dose is 1 mg two times per day so it is equal to 2mg once a day. Then there is no problem in using 2 mg once a day or break it in equal halves and use half two times.
it doesn't matter if you have 2 mg xanax as your prescribed dose per 24 hrs is 2 mg.
Hope it helps

I appreciate your followup...
As far as xanax is concerned, it contain alprazolam so ingredients are same...no need to worry about it. There is no point in thinking whether they know about it or not As far as dose you use is according to prescription.
Hope it helps
