Can Vicodin Be Taken In Place Of Tramadol?

default
Posted on Mon, 2 Nov 2015
Question: I am scheduled for knee replacement 10/27/15. Primary physician prescribed tramadol but it is highly inadequate for the pain I'm having. Can I purchase Vicodin or stronger on line with a debit card without prescription
My concern is getting quality product(preferably norco 10mg) without having to bother with a money order. I would also prefer to purchase a small quantity while developing a trusting relationship.

Brief Answer:
Best to go thru the doctor for reliable quality pain medication.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

I am sorry that you are getting a bit of a run-around with getting your pain managed. I would advise that you contact your primary doctor again, or make an appt. with him/her to discuss that the Tramadol is not adequately controlling your pain.

I do not think you can get a controlled narcotic such as Norco without a prescription and would not trust the quality from any sites that say that you can.

If you are in a great deal of pain, you can call the doctor who is on call for your primary doctor this weekend, but on-call doctors are usually hesitant to prescribe any significant amount of narcotic. For severe pain, Urgent Care clinic is also an option. But best bet would be to contact your own primary on Monday and tell them the situation. Your own primary knows that you are not a narcotic/drug abuser, that you will have surgery soon, and will be more likely to prescribe it.
