Brief Answer:
Pain reduces in 1-2 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The joint pain takes 1-2 weeks to reduce after taking an injection of Reclast. The effect is slower in onset and is a sustained effect as repeated doses are given at regular intervals.
Common side effects of Reclast include nausea, tiredness, flu-like symptoms (e.g., fever, chills, muscle/joint aches), cough, dizziness, headache, vision problems, diarrhea, constipation, joint or muscle pain, or pain/redness/swelling at the injection site. Most of these side effects occur within 3 days of treatment.
To decrease the side effects do increase the fluid intake. You can take electrolyte rich fluids like Garotade for a week.
I hope this answers your query.
