Can Pepcid Be Taken For Severe Gastritis?

Question: My husband has had stomach pain ,acid and throwing up acid past few days.just once a day usually first thing in the morning.he has been complaining of stomach /acid for about a week. Prior to that it would come and go. He took pantaprozol 40 mg today but still has a lot of acid. Can he take Pepcid ?

Eating on time
avoid sleeping two hours after meals
regular exercise and walk
avoid inducing vomiting
avoid excess oily spicy food
avoid coffee and aerated drinks
avoid stress
avoid painkillers if any
can take pepcid 40 mg once a day along with domperidone 10 mg thrice a day before meals if available over the counter
also worthwhile getting an endoscopy done after consulting your physician
