Can Pamelor, Lunesta, Zoloft, Zantac And Xanax Cause Kidney Damage?

Posted on Wed, 19 Apr 2017
Question: I have anxiety, sleep issues, acid reflux, IBS and referred back pain. I take 20mg of Pamelor, 2mg of Lunesta, and a probiotic at night. 25mg of Zoloft in the morning and sometime 2 Zantacs and .5mg of Xanax during the day. I also take supplements. How does this effect my kidneys and liver and what other problems can I expect? I had 2 CT scans in the last 45 days and extensive lab work. These were both normal except my Creatinine was 1.25.

Brief Answer:
These medicines are safe for the kidneys

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

the medicines you are taking are mostly antiaxiety and for sleep onset problems. they are actually safe for the kidneys. there main side effects are excessive sleep. and headache.

If your creatinine is 1.25 it is pretty good for your age. I don't think you should worry.

keep an eye on your blood pressure try to keep it below 140/90. avoid pain killers and avoid non - veg food specially red meat . avoid painkillers also as far as possible.

you should meet your family doctor once in 3 to 4 months.

best wishes.

Brief Answer:
it is also kidney safe

Detailed Answer:

Hi,
Percocet is-
