Brief Answer:
Get your BP and Pulse rate checked.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern.
See Metocard XL doesn't only reduces BP but also reduces the Pulse Rate. So it is important to know your Pulse rate.
Moreover it seems you have wrongly mentioned your BP. It must be 160/80.
You need to recheck your BP if you have started on this medicine. It is very unlikely that this dose would get your BP to Normal range.
Can you tell me why this change of Medicine was required?
Also mention what were your previous BP readings and current BP reading
You take low salt , low fat diet.
Exercise daily.
Avoid alcohol consumption and smoking in case you do.
Avoid papad, pickles and namkeen.
Stay Healthy.

Brief Answer:
Detail Follows.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
That's what I was expecting. This drug at this dose won't be able to give you a perfect BP control.
I would help you with deciding optimal Medicine and dosage for you but please mention your Pulse rate and why you stopped your prior Medicine.
Stay Healthy.
