Methamphetamine can be absorbed through skin but the quantity differs. It also depends upon the condition of the skin. it can not be absorbed in a high amount through skin unless if you inject it into the vessel that is direct into blood streem.
If you have taken meth many times then it can be detected in hair for up to 1 to 3 months after last ingestion. But if the level of absorption is low then it may not be detected in hairs.
I don't feel that by transdermal route you can have similar amount of meth absorbed as when injected into the blood stream. So less likely to fail hair test.
