Brief Answer:
Alcohol, after stopping Librium for 3 days unlikely to cause side effects

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank You for the query at HealthcareMagic
I have gone through your question and I understand your concern.
We apologize for the delay in getting back to you.

It is not recommended to stop Librium abruptly as it can lead to seizures. The dose needs to be tapered down under medical supervision before stopping Librium completely.

Librium has a very long half-life. The effects stay in your system for 2-3 days. So consuming alcohol after stopping Librium for 3 days should not cause much side effects. You should not drink alcohol if you decide to restart Librium as this can lead to drowsiness, dizziness, breathing difficulty, seizures and coma.

Moreover, consuming alcohol at this point will make detox more difficult.

I strongly advise that you contact your doctor to discuss the cravings(if at all) you are experiencing and to get back on Librium.

Hope I was able to answer your question
Please feel free to address any more concerns.

Regards,
Dr.Lekshmi
