Brief Answer:
improvement in symptoms of hypothyroidism probably...

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

since your doctor gave you levothyroxine, I suppose you had symptoms (and biochemical indications) of hypothyroidism (high TSH in blood, fatigue, slow thinking, weight gain, worsened blood sugar and lipid control, brittle hair, lower tolerance to cold, sleepiness, etc).

Improvement is expected in symptoms although it may take some time for complete reversal of hypothyroidism.
A word of caution though... if your doctor started you with 75mcg some effects on the heart may occur (increased heart rate). If you have heart failure then perhaps you should talk about it with the treating doctor. In older patients we usually start with smaller doses.

Taking levothyroxine is OK with the rest of your drugs. After all it's a natural hormone that your body should have been producing. You just have to make sure it's absorbed adequately by following instructions regarding proper use (take with an empty stomach, wait for a while before taking other drugs, wait at least 4 hours before taking iron supplements).

I hope you find my comments helpful!
Kind Regards!
