Brief Answer:
Yes, you can take both together!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

It is possible to take both medications together as it is safe to do so. To release gas, ask for activated charcoal from the nearest drug store and take.

I hope this helps. I wish you well and feel free to ask for more information and clarification if need be.

I was prescribed omeprazole 40 mg and ratidine 300mg. Ranitidine at night and omeprazole in mornings. Is this the best way to take it. Will it help with ulcers and stomach pain?

Thanks. I went to my pcp. He wants me to do a scope with a GI specialist. He feels my pain is a result of my reflux. He didn't give me anything for pain. I'm waiting for my appointment with the specialist. What should I do in the mean time for pain.

Take omeprazole!

Hi,

If he thinks the pain is due to reflux which is a possibility, I will recommend that you take omeprazole for the time leading up to this GI scope. This is available easily OTC in every drug store.

Keep me posted.
