Brief Answer:
Yes it is possible

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Although there is risk of HIV transmission but the risk is very low. It can be said that the risk is just one in 300 or less for exposure to body fluids of someone HIV positive and having raw surface due to pulling of teeth recently.

I hope this answers you.
Thanks and regards.

Brief Answer:
No role of PEP after one week of exposure

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

Unfortunately there is no role of PEP after one week of exposure as it should be started within 72 hours and preferably 24 hours.

Since there is low risk hope there is no transmission of infection and avoid any kind of casual sexual encounters in future.

It is always better to be safe rather than sorry.

I hope this helps you further.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for my future patients.

Brief Answer:
Better to go urgent care

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

I will suggest you to go for urgent care as it is less than 24 hours (Sorry for earlier message where I mentioned exposure occurred one week back) and it is always better to take step as soon as possible.

Thanks and regards
