Can HIV Be Transmitted By Sharing The Same Bed With An Infected Person?
Question: I was just diagnosed HIV+. I did the home test OraQuick and it was positive so I went to the doctor the next day and he drew blood and a week later it confirmed the home test they did the Elisa test I couldn't get an appointment with an infectious disease dr. Until Monday the 16th of May
This weekend on April 27th I had severe flu symptoms and sweats and fevers and it's continued I haven't been able to work because of it. I am 62 years old male married.
Also my wife and I have not had sex for about 5 years but we sleep in the same bed can she have contracted HIV from me

HIV is transmitted through sexual intercourse but not by sleeping together on same bed, hand shake, kissing, eating together etc. so don't get worried as your wife is not at risk of getting HIV.
