default
Posted on Thu, 2 Feb 2017
Question: I'm scared I got hiv. I had unprotected vaginal sex last night but Idk if she has hiv or not and I don't know her at all. I'm guessing she sleeps with a lot of men.

Brief Answer:
Please share some more details.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

Welcome to HCM.

The risk of getting HIV from single unprotected act of sex is very unlikely even though your partner is HIV positive but still I need more details about the exposure so that I can explain in much better way.

Thank You

It was a one night stand and she told me last night she was clean but I can't trust her. I was using a condom but removed it and t was unprotected for a few mins til I stopped it.

Brief Answer:
The risk with single exposure is very less.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

Welcome back and thanks for follow-up.

If this exposure is first time then the risk is unlikely but if you are anxious enough then the best way to relieve your stress or tension is to get tested for it and negative result will definitely clear your doubt.

Thank You
