Can HIV Be Contracted Through Protected Sex?
Question: Sir i had Protected sex(with male condom) with a girl of unknown status on 13th january,2015. After 3 weeks i had severe sore throat, painful oral and anal ulcer,maculopapular rashes, hives and recurrent fever for almost 2 months. Those symptoms subsided gradually but now i am having head pressure which aggrevates after driving. Hives, stuffy nose and mild rashes are still there. Done p24 antigen-antibody test hiv ELISA test for 6 times from may till november (done in SRL ranbaxy lab).. All came unreactive. But my serum igE is about 750 with positive dust allergy. Sir should i go for PCR? Very tensed.. Please do suggest.

You had protected sex with a girl then the risk of getting HIV is already not there. The antibody and P24 antigen tests are also non-reactive than you need not to worry because you are free from HIV. Also no need to go for HIV PCR test.
The high serum Ig E level is due to allergy of dust nothing else and for pressure in head consult your local physician, go for some investigations to rule out the cause and take treatment as per the advice Be relaxed and move ahead in life happily.

Thank you Dr. XXXXXXX . I forgot to mention that i have done CT scan brain, everything came normal except mucosal lesions on paranasal sinus. i have gained 13 kg weight during the last 5-6 months and having oral thrush since 4-5 months.
