Can HIV Be Contracted Through External Contact With Bodily Fluids?

default
Posted on Mon, 8 Aug 2016
Question: Hello sorry its an embaressing question. I had a sex relation (male to male) yesterday and my partner ejaculated over my penis and his seminal fluid covered all my penis uncluding the opening of the penis. Is it possible that I will get any STDs like HiV because his seminal fluid was covering the opening of the penis (sorry again for such an embaressing question but I am so worried since yesterday) thanks

Sorry there was a typo in my message. I meant his seminal fluid covered all my penis including the opening of my penis. So I am thinking maybe his seminal fluid have entered into my body of got abosorbed by my body because it was over the opening of my penis.

Brief Answer:
there is some risk

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

when seminal fluid comes into contact with mucosal surfaces (like the glans of penis) transmission of HIV is possible. This kind of contact is not he most risky one though, so you shouldn't worry too much unless you do know that your partner is HIV positive. Regarding other STDs, the risk of not very high either - since there was no immediate contact - but still existent.

I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!
