Brief Answer:
can take twice daily. insulin or voglibose

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I went through the query and understood your concern.

With 3 drugs your sugar is not controlled. Its better if you can start insulin.

For my patients I don't prefer to increase more than 6mg of zoryl and 2.5g of metformin tht is present in galvusmet. So I dont prefer to add more than this.

If you don't prefer to use insulin then continue same dose and can start voglibose 0.2 - 0.3 mg along with first bite of every meal. Three times a day. This will help in reducing the sugar levels.

Keep checking your renal function and liver function tests once every year if normal at initial test.

I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask for any further queries. I will be glad to answer them.

Wish you good health.
Regards

one doctor has asked me to take 3mg Zoryl and 1gm Galvusmet twice daily (total 6mg Zoryl and 2gm metformin) where as another opinion is to take Istamet twice, Cyblex 60XR twice and Advog 0.2 thrice with the first bite. I am not sure whom to follow, please guide me which is the better option. Also if I start taking the second opinion (Istamaet, Cyblex and Advog) can I revert back to first group (Zoryl and Galvusmet) later or not. I am concerned because I am not aware of Cyblex other effects plus lot of side effects of Advog.

hope to hear back soon

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Follow any one regimen. Cyblex contents?

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX

You need to follow any one doctor.

Istamet and galvusmet are similar type of drugs combination.
Advog will reduce absorption of sugar and hence reduce blood sugar level.
I don't know about Cyblex. Kindly write the content in Cyblex so that I can help you in this regard.

The aim of the treatment is to control sugar levels with minimal or no side effects.
So continue with one doctor.

Among the drugs I personally prefer Istamet and Advog. The gastric discomfort may be present with Advog because of decreased absorption of sugar from intestine.

Zoryl is a good drug for those with loss of weight and of recent onset of diabetes.

You can shift to different drug combinations based on the response. So no need to worry. Continue with one doctor you prefer and if any information or uncontrolled sugar you can ask me any time for your assistance.

Hope this information helps you and answered your questions. Feel free to ask for any further information.

Wish you good health.
