I have reviewed it and your tongue is clearly coated with a whitish membrane with a central clearing. This would have been easily mistaken for aortal candidiasis(fungal infection) but the recent onset and no other reasons for this are not supportive.

This is a well recognize side effect of flagyl. It would get resolved spontaneously after completing treatment. There is no need for any special treatment for this condition at this time.

Unless the results suggest so, we would not start speculating about treatment options. In extreme cases where medications fail to control the infection, surgery has been considered.
