Can Elavil Cause High Pressure Sensation In The Eye?

Question: I have a friend that has diabetes and high blood pressure and was prescribe Elavil and developed very high pressure in his left eye caused by a blood clot forming in the main vein to his eye he under went a procedure to minimize the pressure but had to return he loss the sight in that eye and pressure was in the right eye as well but seems to have that under control was it because of the medication he was prescribed with the diabetes and high blood pressure

I can understand your concern regarding to your friend' s health and i do really appreciate it.
The tendency for clotting is still with unknown causes. Diabetes and high blood pressure increase the risk.
The antidiabetic and antihypertensive medications do not not have such side effects.
All she can do is to keep the blood pressure and glycemia under control.
