Can Doxycycline Cause High Blood Pressure?

Question: i have high blood pressure and now a cough and had been given Doxycycline mono 100gm cap and would like to know if this will raise my blood pressure or, if there is a more suitable antibiotic for my cold.

In general cold should not be treated with antibiotics. It is because cold is usually caused by viruses, not bacteria. And antibiotics are ineffective agains viruses.
For sure it wont raise your blood pressure. But I do not think you need it.
