Can Dextromethorphan And Guaifenesin Be Taken Together?

Question: I purchased Robitussin Cough+Chest DM liquid yesterday for a lingering cough from a cold. I took one dose and it was working great but remembered the my Doctor mentioned not to take anything with decongestant in it because I have BPH. There isn't a warning on the packaging regarding not using it if you have BPH. The two ingredients are dextromethorphan Hbr (cough suppressant) and guaifenesin (expectorant). Is it Ok to use?
